Description

The Bagged Peiper is a thrilling wargame that drops you into the midst of World War II, specifically the Battle of the Bulge. Designed by Paul Rohrbaugh and published in 2010, this game is easy to learn and can be played solo or with a friend in just 30 minutes. As part of a series of games that can be linked together for a grand campaign, The Bagged Peiper offers a unique and immersive experience. The game uses a chit-pull system and hexagon grid to simulate the battles between American and German forces, with terrain affecting combat and movement. In this game, you'll use a card deck to activate units, with the color and value of the cards determining which units can move, fight, or take other actions. Each unit has its own strengths and weaknesses, represented by three numbers that indicate its anti-tank, proficiency rating, and anti-infantry capabilities. The goal of the game is simple: as the German player, you need to exit four units from the west map edge or eliminate all American units within five turns. If you fail, the American player wins. With its simple rules and quick playtime, The Bagged Peiper is a great introduction to wargames and a fun challenge for experienced players alike.
