Description

Wongar is a prehistoric-themed board game that's all about strategy and area control. Designed by Richard Borg and Alan R. Moon, this game has been around since 2000, and its normal complexity rules make it easy for board game enthusiasts to pick up. In Wongar, 3 to 5 players take turns drawing cards from various areas on the board, each with its own unique actions and challenges. The goal is to place control markers on the board, which score points when certain tokens, like the Ancestor or Elder, appear in an area. As players navigate the game, they'll need to think carefully about which actions to take and when to move the tokens to gain an advantage. The game also features scoring cards, which can be used to manipulate control markers and maximize points. But beware - scorpion cards are scattered throughout the decks, and these can accelerate the game's end and increase the value of scorings. With a playtime of around 90 minutes, Wongar is a fun and engaging game that's perfect for a group of friends or family members looking for a challenging and interactive experience. The combination of area majority, influence, and card drafting mechanics makes for a thrilling game that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
