Description

Get ready to zig and zag your way to victory in this classic abstract strategy game from 1977. Designed by Ora Coster, Theora Design, and Theo Coster, Zig Zag is a game of tile placement and pattern building that's easy to learn but challenging to master. Each player starts with a set of 13 tiles, ranging from single hexagons to quadruple pieces, and takes turns placing them on the board to fill in one of the eight areas. The twist is that each area is a different size, from three to ten hexes, and you score points equal to the size of the area you fill. As you alternate turns with your opponent, you'll need to think strategically about which tiles to place and where, trying to block your opponent's moves while setting yourself up for big scores. With a playtime of just 10 minutes, Zig Zag is a quick and intense game that's perfect for a casual competition between two players. The rules are simple, but the gameplay is engaging and requires a combination of pattern recognition, area movement, and enclosure tactics. Can you outmaneuver your opponent and emerge victorious, or will they zig and zag their way to the top? With its unique blend of strategy and luck, Zig Zag is a game that will keep you coming back for more.
