Description
Raid on St. Nazaire is a solitaire wargame that drops you into the midst of World War II, simulating the daring British raid on the Nazi-occupied French port of St. Nazaire on March 28, 1942. You'll navigate the British boats and destroyer HMS Campbeltown, disguised as a German ship, through the harbor, avoiding the harbor defense guns and making your way to the landing areas. As you progress, you'll try to reach and destroy key targets like sub pens, docked ships, and supply tanks, all while fending off the German guards, who will arrive and move in response to your actions. The game system controls the German units, making them increasingly tougher and better organized as the game unfolds. Your goal is to destroy as many targets as possible before either escaping or being eliminated, earning you a score based on your successes.
