In Upon a Fable, you get to be the grand ruler of your own fairy tale land, starting with a small realm and a loyal subject by your side. As you play through the nine rounds, you'll have the chance to expand your fortunes and grow your realm into a thriving kingdom. With easy-to-learn rules, you can dive right in and start exploring the different paths to greatness, whether that's adding more realms to gain support from more fables, expanding your existing realms to increase their size and influence, or gathering valuable fairy tale wonders. As you navigate the game, you'll need to balance your efforts to become the most well-rounded ruler, using a combination of modular board, card drafting, set collection, and worker placement mechanics to outmaneuver your opponents. With support for 1 to 6 players, you can enjoy Upon a Fable with a group of friends or take on the challenge solo. The game may have been published in 2013, but its abstract strategy and territory building elements remain engaging and fun to this day. After 60 minutes of play, the player with the highest total point value will be crowned the winner, earning the title of High Emperor or Empress, so gather your friends, get ready to build your fairy tale empire, and see who will reign supreme.
