In The Grand Alchemist, you'll embark on a thrilling adventure to become the most revered alchemist of all time. With 3 to 6 players, you'll take on the role of a skilled alchemist, accompanied by two trusty apprentices, as you travel across a map of Europe, visiting prominent cities to gather knowledge and resources. Your ultimate goal is to create the magical formula that will allow you to transmute common metals into gold, but beware, as the Grand Inquisitor and rival alchemists are hot on your heels, trying to sabotage your progress. As you navigate the game, you'll need to balance your pursuit of knowledge with the need to keep your secret lab hidden from prying eyes. The game is easy to learn, but don't be fooled - it requires strategic thinking and cunning to outwit your opponents. With a playtime of 90 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to immerse yourself in the world of alchemy and experience the thrill of the chase. Roll the dice, spin the wheel, and move your pieces to gather the necessary components and knowledge cards. But watch out for event cards that can either help or hinder your progress - they might allow you to search for hidden resources, protect yourself from the Grand Inquisitor, or even steal from your opponents.
