Description
Get ready to dive into a world of horror and suspense with Cthulhu: Dark Providence, a competitive board game for 1 to 5 players. Set in the 2024 release, this game takes inspiration from the writings of H.P. Lovecraft, dropping players into the midst of the Great Depression in the United States. As a secret Investigator or Cultist, you'll navigate the nation's vulnerabilities, seeking to either protect or exploit them for your own twisted purposes. With a playtime of 90 to 120 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to immerse yourself in the dark world of Cthulhu, and with rules of normal complexity, fans of board games will have no trouble learning the ropes. As you take on your secret role, you'll use Influence cubes to bid for Asset cards, control cities, and gather Mythos cards, all while trying to keep your identity hidden and your sanity intact. With each new Asset card, you'll improve your deck and gain access to more resources and actions, allowing you to sway Hired Agents to your side, assassinate opponents, and seal or protect Gates. The goal is simple: earn the most Victory Points for your side and emerge victorious. But beware, the line between reality and madness is thin, and the wrong move could spell disaster. Will you emerge as the dominant force, or will you succumb to the darkness? There's only one way to find out, so gather your friends and get ready to face the horrors of Cthulhu: Dark Providence.
