Description
In Four Taverns, the goal is to have the most legendary tavern in the land, and that means attracting the most awesome customers - adventurers who have done great things and inspire others to come and drink with them. To achieve this, you'll support adventurers on their quests, which will ideally bring renown to your tavern. The game is simple to learn, with easy-to-explain rules, and plays quickly, lasting around 35 minutes. Designed by Mike Richie and published in 2012, Four Taverns is a card game for 2 to 4 players that combines hand management and take-that mechanics in a fantasy setting. On each turn, you'll draw adventurer cards, play them to complete quests, and gain income and renown. But be careful, your tavern is small at first, so you'll need to send out adventurers regularly to make room for more. As you gain renown, you'll expand your tavern, allowing you to hold more adventurers and plan bigger quests. With the help of champions, special adventurers who fulfill two roles at once, and action cards that add a twist to the game, you'll compete to be the first player to collect twenty renown and win the game. With its unique blend of strategy and fantasy, Four Taverns is a fun and engaging game that's perfect for a quick gaming session with friends.
