In Douro 1872, the port is chaotic with ships waiting to load the annual Porto wine orders, but a shortage of wine due to phylloxera has left the big companies scrambling. To make up for the shortfall, Rabelo boats are sent up the Douro River to persuade small wine producers to part with their precious reserves. This simple yet strategic game for 2 to 5 players is all about managing your hand and making the right moves at the right time. With simultaneous action selection and hand management mechanics, players must bluff and negotiate their way to success in this quick 15 to 25 minute game.
