Description
In Roads & Boats, you'll start with a humble collection of resources and work to develop your civilization through logistical transport. The goal is to bring goods to producers to make new goods, but be careful - anyone can use any production facility or pick up goods left behind. You'll need to navigate the modular board, using grid movement and line drawing to create networks and routes. As you play, you'll collect wealth and contribute to the game timer by building monument blocks for victory points. With hundreds of little counters and wooden disks for transportation, the game can be complex and take time to learn, but it's a fun and challenging experience for 1 to 4 players. With a playtime of 240 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to strategize and outmaneuver your opponents in this classic game of city building, civilization, and economic management, first published in 1999.
