Description

None But Heroes is a game that drops you into the midst of one of the most pivotal battles in American history, the Battle of Antietam. It's September 1862 and Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia is on the brink of a major victory, but Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation has changed the stakes, turning the war into a moral crusade. As one of the two players, you'll take on the role of either McClellan or Lee, fighting for control of the western part of Maryland. The game is designed for 2 players and takes about 60 minutes to play, although be warned, the rules can be a bit complicated and may take some time to learn. In None But Heroes, you'll experience the intensity of the battle firsthand, with a unique game system that integrates movement and combat, creating a non-stop action experience. The game features a hexagon grid and dice rolling mechanics, making it a simulation of the real battle. With four two-map scenarios and four smaller scenarios, you'll have plenty of opportunities to explore different approaches and strategies. As the Union player, you'll have to use your heavy guns and infantry to cut down the Rebel forces, while as the Confederate player, you'll need to use your limited troops wisely and counterattack to blunt the Union advances. With its intricate gameplay and historical accuracy, None But Heroes is a game that will challenge and engage you, letting you relive one of the most famous battles in American history.
