Description
In Citizens of the Spark, the fate of intelligent creatures hangs in the balance, and it's up to you to build a thriving city by recruiting strong animal allies and unlocking their potential. This easy-to-learn card game, designed by Philip duBarry, is perfect for 1 to 5 players and can be played in just 45 to 60 minutes. With a unique blend of game mechanics, including card drafting, set collection, and variable set-up, each game is a fresh experience. Every citizen type has distinct powers, and as you collect more cards of a specific type, their actions become more powerful. As you take turns attracting citizens, taking actions, and claiming sparks, you'll need to strategize and pay attention to your opponents' moves. When you activate a citizen, other players can follow your lead and activate a matching citizen of their own, adding a fun layer of interaction to the game. With 30 available creatures to choose from, each game features a unique combination of 7-10 animal citizen types. The player with the most sparks in their city when the deck runs out wins, so you'll need to balance recruiting new citizens with activating their powers to maximize your chances of success. Published in 2025, Citizens of the Spark is a exciting new base game that combines science fiction and animals in a thrilling way.
