Description

In Ancient Terrible Things, you'll embark on a thrilling pulp horror adventure with 2 to 4 friends, exploring a dark jungle river. Each turn, you'll travel to a Fateful Location, face an Ominous Encounter, and try to unlock its Ancient Secrets. To succeed, you'll need to roll the right dice combinations, using tokens and cards to aid you. If you fail, you'll unleash a Terrible Thing, which will count against your score at the end of the game. The goal is to collect the most Ancient Secrets before the Unspeakable Event ends the game. With easy-to-learn rules and a playtime of just 60 minutes, Ancient Terrible Things is a fun and accessible game for anyone. You'll need to manage your resources carefully, using Focus tokens to re-roll dice, Courage tokens to overcome encounters, and Treasure tokens to purchase powerful Swag cards. Will you be the player with the most Ancient Secrets when the game ends, or will the Terrible Things get the best of you?
