Description

Paper 'Mech is a solo game where you take on the role of a lone 'mech pilot, tasked with holding off four waves of increasingly difficult attackers. With easy-to-learn rules, you can jump right into the action, which takes place over 20 to 40 minutes. Every move you make has a time cost, and choosing your actions wisely is key to success - do you take the time to perform a powerful attack, or rush into a quicker but less accurate one? Your enemies will also be making their moves, with varying time costs, so you'll need to stay on your toes to deal with the impending threats. As you battle through the waves, you'll have the chance to repair and upgrade your 'mech, choosing from 13 different weapons and customizing your armor and mounting points. But be careful not to overload your 'mech, or you'll slow down all your actions. With a simple set of components, including dice, cubes, and a pencil, you can start playing right away. Designed by Chris Alton, Paper 'Mech was a standout entry in the 2016 1 Page PNP Design Contest, winning awards for its innovative mechanics and thematic design. Whether you're a fan of science fiction, wargames, or just looking for a fun solo experience, Paper 'Mech is a great choice.
