In the world of Etherstone, a cosmic being's divine essence has brought life to the desolate planet of Nobura, but a lurking threat known as the Vacuous poses a challenge to this delicate balance. As a faction leader, you'll unite forces to avert impending extinction, striving to gain the most victory points through various means such as summoning cards, overcoming threats, and utilizing your abilities effectively. With a playtime of 30 to 60 minutes, Etherstone is a game that can be enjoyed by 2 to 4 players, and its normal complexity makes it accessible to those familiar with board games. As you embark on this journey, you'll draft a hand of cards and a leader card, each with unique abilities and strengths. The game is played in turns, with each player taking one action at a time, such as drafting dice, summoning cards, attacking threats, or resting to recharge. With three types of cards - Followers, Rituals, and Technology - you'll have various strategies at your disposal to outmaneuver your opponents and gain victory points. The game ends when one of three conditions is met, and the player with the most victory points is declared the winner. With its engaging gameplay and variable player powers, Etherstone offers a unique experience each time you play, making it a thrilling addition to any board game collection.
