In 8th Air Force, you take on the role of commander, guiding the US Army Air Force through a strategic bombing campaign against Germany from 1943 to 1945. With easy-to-learn rules, this solo game challenges you to make tough decisions and overcome obstacles to achieve victory. You'll start by bombing submarine bases in western France to support the Battle of the Atlantic, then shift your focus to targeting railroads and river crossings in preparation for the Allied invasion of occupied France. As you progress, you'll need to prioritize targets, managing your resources to cripple Germany's aircraft factories, oil facilities, and heavy industry. With a playtime of 120 to 240 minutes, you'll be fully immersed in the world of World War II aviation, using dice rolling and area-impulse mechanics to simulate the thrill of combat.
