Description
Breakthru is a classic abstract strategy game that's easy to learn and fun to play. Designed by Alex Randolph and first published in 1965, it's a game of cat and mouse between two players, each with their own fleet of ships. One player commands a gold fleet, consisting of a flagship and 12 escorts, and must try to break through their opponent's blockade to reach safety. The other player, commanding a silver fleet, must strategically outmaneuver and destroy the gold fleet's escorts to capture the flagship and win the game. With simple rules and a short playtime of just 15 minutes, Breakthru is a great game for a quick showdown between two players. Its unique blend of nautical theme and point to point movement game mechanics makes for a thrilling and challenging experience.
