In the Stocks is a fan expansion for Carcassonne that adds a new twist to the classic game. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, 2 to 5 players can dive into a game that lasts around 30 to 45 minutes. The game is all about strategic tile placement, and with the addition of stocks, players have more opportunities to outmaneuver their opponents. When a player draws a tile with stocks, they must play it to an existing city, and then decide whether to deploy a follower to the city or place one in the stocks. This new mechanic adds a fresh layer of strategy to the game, and with its medieval theme, players are transported to a world of castles and cities.
