Description
Turning Tides is a thrilling naval battle between two players, where each takes control of a ship and must manage it to outmaneuver their opponent. The game is played on a modular board, with ships sailing past each other zone by zone, and players drawing and playing action cards to gain an advantage. These cards can be used to add new sailors and cannons to your ship, move units or the ship itself, or launch a attack on the enemy vessel. The simultaneous gameplay means there's little downtime, keeping you fully engaged throughout the 15 to 45 minute playtime. As you navigate the high seas, you'll need to position your crewmen and cannons tactically to inflict maximum damage on your opponent's ship, while also protecting your own from their counterattacks. Losing your captain would be a costly mistake, giving your opponent the upper hand. The goal is to either destroy three zones on the enemy ship, sending it to the bottom of the sea, or eliminate their entire crew, leaving them adrift and helpless. With easy-to-learn rules and a focus on patience, tactics, and outwitting your opponent, Turning Tides is a game that will keep you on the edge of your seat as you battle for supremacy on the waves.
