Description
Tammany Hall is a game of politics and power, where players must navigate the complex web of alliances and rivalries in 19th century New York City. To rule the city, you'll need to help immigrant groups settle and collect political favors from them, which can be used to slander your opponents and win elections. Every four years, an election is held, and the player who best leverages their power base will be elected mayor, but their grip on power is tenuous at best. As you play, you'll need to balance temporary alliances with backstabbing and corruption, all while trying to stay one step ahead of your opponents. With its unique blend of area majority, auction, and negotiation mechanics, Tammany Hall is a game that will keep you on your toes. Designed by Doug Eckhart and published in 2007, this game is perfect for 3 to 5 players looking for a challenging and engaging experience that will take around 90 minutes to play.
