Description
In Citadels, players take on new roles each round, hiring characters to help them acquire gold and build structures in a medieval city. The game is easy to learn, and with 2 to 8 players, it's a great option for a fun night with friends or family. Each round, players secretly choose a character, like the assassin or thief, and then carry out their actions in order, trying to outmaneuver their opponents and gain an advantage. As players build their city, they earn points for their structures, and the game ends when one player builds their seventh building. With twenty-seven unique characters and thirty building districts to choose from, each game is different, and the variable player powers and set collection mechanics keep things exciting. The 2016 edition of Citadels offers a range of gameplay options, making it a great choice for players looking for a fun and challenging experience that can be completed in 30 to 60 minutes.
