Description
The Rats in the Walls is a thrilling board game that drops 3 to 6 players into a world of uncertainty, where the lines between reality and paranoia are blurred. Inspired by the H.P. Lovecraft story of the same name, this 30-minute game is all about bluffing and strategic dice rolling. With simple rules that can be explained in no time, players take on the roles of the Giver and the Receiver, trying to outsmart each other to win. The game starts with the Giver claiming to hear rats behind the walls, and the Receiver must decide whether to believe them or not, with penalties and rewards that can make or break their sanity. As the game unfolds, players must navigate a web of deception and intuition, using their wits to outmaneuver their opponents. With each round, the stakes get higher, and the number of rats behind the walls grows, making it harder to keep a level head. The player with the most brains at the end of the game wins, but losing all your brains will get you eliminated. Designed by Henning Poehl and published in 2013, The Rats in the Walls is a base game that's perfect for those who enjoy a good bluffing game with a touch of Lovecraftian horror. With its unique mechanics and social interaction, this game is sure to provide hours of thrilling entertainment for you and your friends.
