Description

In the heart of the desert, a small oasis called Khiva has been a hub for merchants and caravans loaded with riches for centuries. Now, you can join the fray as a savvy merchant in the 2024 game Khiva, designed by Johannes Goupy and Guillaume Scholz. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, 2 to 5 players can dive into this 30-minute game of strategy and luck. Your goal is to attract the richest caravans and collect tremendous wealth, using a system that feels like a thrilling tug of war. As you play, you'll use cards to move camels and collect valuable resources like bags of salt, luxurious carpets, and teapots. Each turn, you'll play a card and pass another to your neighbor, trying to outmaneuver them to get the best riches. With simultaneous action selection and a dash of bluffing, you'll need to deduce what your opponents are planning and make clever decisions to come out on top. As the game unfolds, you'll gather more information about the cards that have been played, helping you make informed bets and bluffs to get ahead. The game ends when one resource is exhausted, and the player with the most accumulated riches is declared the winner, making Khiva a fun and exciting experience for all players.
