Description
Triumph & Tragedy is a geopolitical strategy game where 2 to 3 players compete for European supremacy during the period 1936-45. The game has diplomatic, economic, technological, and military components, and can be won by gaining economic hegemony, technological supremacy, or by vanquishing a rival militarily. Players start with a virtually disarmed Great Power and must navigate the complexities of building up their military, economy, and technology while negotiating with other players. The game is highly interactive and tense, with shifting alliances and unpredictable cooperation. Players can pursue dominance through land, sea, or air military superiority, technological supremacy, or economic hegemony, and the game can continue as an economic battle of attrition or a sudden military explosion can change everything. With immense replayability and little downtime between player turns, Triumph & Tragedy is a fast-moving game that covers the crucial geopolitical decade of the 20th century in 4-6 hours.
