Description

Freshwater Fly is a game that combines modern mechanics with the world of angling, where you'll encounter a rushing mountain stream filled with fish. With a rod, reel, and selection of flies, you'll need to carefully perform tactical maneuvers and execute a strategy to catch fish and earn achievement points. You'll examine the ever-changing hatch, tie a fly to match your target fish, and choose how to cast your line, all while managing your supply of finesse and utilizing your rondel reel for bonuses. As a dice drafting and set collecting game, you'll select dice to assign actions and unlock bonus actions to solve fishing puzzles. Collecting sets of fish and flies will help you achieve personal and common goals, and focusing on overlapping goals will lead to victory. With easy-to-learn rules and playtime of 40 to 90 minutes, Freshwater Fly is a fun and refreshing game for 1 to 4 players, designed by Brian Suhre and published in 2019.
