Description

Sensō: Battle For Japan is a light wargame where 2 to 5 players compete to become the Emperor by conquering territories in 16th century Japan. The game is set in the Sengoku period, a time of civil war, and players take on the roles of powerful clans like Oda, Takeda, Uesugi, and Mori, with a fifth player controlling the Emperor. With easy-to-learn rules, the game is perfect for a fun and intense 30 to 45 minute play session. Players use a combination of trick-taking and worker placement mechanics to gain control of central Japan's territories, earning victory points and outmaneuvering their opponents. The game features a unique deck of cards inspired by Japanese wood carvings, as well as colored wooden cubes and illustrated map cards. As players battle for dominance, the player with the most victory points after 8 rounds is declared the winner, claiming the title of Emperor and ultimate control over Japan.
