Description
Battle of LITS is a fast-paced and strategic board game designed for two players, created by Grant Fikes in 2011. The game is easy to learn, making it accessible to players of all skill levels, and can be played in just 20 minutes. As an abstract strategy game, Battle of LITS challenges players to think critically and make tactical decisions to outmaneuver their opponent. The game is inspired by the Japanese logic puzzle LITS, and players take turns placing L-, I-, T-, and S-shaped tetrominoes onto the board, trying to cover their opponent's symbols while protecting their own. The game mechanics are simple yet engaging, with restrictions on how pieces can be placed, such as sharing edges with existing pieces and avoiding congruent pieces. The pie rule adds an extra layer of strategy, allowing players to switch places with their opponent after the first move. The goal is to have more of your symbols showing on the board than your opponent when no more pieces can be played. With its unique blend of tile placement and abstract strategy, Battle of LITS is a fun and challenging game that will keep you coming back for more. As a print and play game, it's also easy to get started and play wherever you want.
