Description

In Pharaoh, you'll take on the role of an ancient Egyptian leader, guiding your colorful Icehouse pieces across a unique 5x5 grid board with the corners removed. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, this abstract strategy game is easy to dive into, and its short 15-minute playtime makes it perfect for a quick gaming session with friends or family. Designed by Andrew Looney and first published in 2010, Pharaoh supports 2 to 4 players, so gather your friends and get ready for a fun and competitive experience. On each turn, you'll roll a die to determine how many movement points you have, which you can use to move your small, medium, or large pieces around the board. Be strategic, as you'll need to navigate your pieces to get three of them in a row, centered in the board, to win the game. But watch out - if you land on an opponent's piece that's the same size or smaller, you'll send it back to the starting line. With its unique blend of action points, pattern building, and roll-and-move mechanics, Pharaoh offers a thrilling challenge that's sure to keep you coming back for more.
