Description

In Tekhenu: Obelisk of the Sun, you'll join ancient Pharaohs in creating and growing one of the most impressive sites the world has seen, honoring the Egyptian gods. The game board is divided into six sections, each associated with a different god, and features an impressive obelisk that casts its shadow onto different parts of the board, affecting gameplay. As the sun's rotation alters which sections are sunny, shaded, or dark, you'll need to carefully manage your actions to prepare for the reckoning by the goddess Maat. Over 60 to 120 minutes, 1 to 4 players will draft dice and perform actions associated with the value of the die and the section from which it was drafted. With a mix of action drafting, income, and pattern building, the game requires strategic thinking and balance. As you build workshops, quarries, and statues, you'll earn victory points, but beware of excess production, which can add Taint to your balance and negatively impact your score.
