Description

The Man Who Was Thursday is a game of mystery and intrigue, inspired by the classic novel of the same name by G.K. Chesterton. Players take on the roles of representatives of anarchists, police, or suspicious neutrals, infiltrating a secret council in London where identities are hidden and allegiances are unclear. As you navigate the complex web of alliances and rivalries, you'll need to maneuver your agents to further your faction's goals, whether that's unleashing chaos or maintaining order. Over the course of 25 to 50 minutes, 1 to 4 players will combine action dice and agents to solve missions across London, vying for control of 7 regions. The game is a delicate balance of power, where solving puzzles and deducing your opponents' identities can be the key to victory. With its normal complexity rules, fans of board games will have no trouble diving in, and the game's short playtime makes it easy to fit in a thrilling session. As the game designer notes, the time has come for the showdown, and only the player who can navigate the tight balance of power will emerge victorious, bringing light to a world on the brink of darkness.
