Get ready for a purrfectly strategic game with Cat-a-comb, the latest abstract strategy board game from designer Pierpaolo Paoletti, released in 2024. In this quick and simple game, you and your opponent will take turns placing and stacking cat cubes on a 3x3 grid of tiles. The goal is to get your cats in the right positions, either by placing them on top of neutral or opposing cats, or by distributing stacks of cats across the board. With only 15 minutes of playtime, Cat-a-comb is the perfect game for a quick challenge or a fun break. As you play, you'll need to think carefully about your moves, taking into account the rules that prevent you from placing two cats of the same color on top of each other, and limiting the height of your stacks to three cats. The game ends when one player achieves one of two winning conditions: having a cat on top of all the stacks of one color, or having a cat on top of three stacks that are each three cats high. With its simple rules and deep strategy, Cat-a-comb is a game that's easy to learn but challenging to master, making it a great choice for players of all skill levels.
