Description

In Potemkin Empire, you're the mayor of a small Russian village trying to impress Empress Catherine the Great as she takes a surprise trip down the Dnieper River. With her visit approaching quickly, you don't have time to actually fix your village, so you'll have to make it look impressive instead. You'll draft interior cards, which can be real or fake, and combine them with facades to construct a kingdom that appears prosperous and stable. You'll score points by producing goods, exposing your opponents' fake buildings, and constructing government and cultural buildings. The goal is to make your village seem more impressive than the others, and the player with the most points at the end of the 45-minute game wins. With easy-to-learn rules and a mix of bluffing, card drafting, and deduction, Potemkin Empire is a fun and engaging game for 3 to 5 players.
