Description

In Papua, you lead a scientific expedition to one of the most fascinating territories on earth, Papua New Guinea, in the late 19th century. Your goal is to collect the most remarkable discoveries and astonish the scientific community. To do this, you'll need to manage your scientists and assign them to various tasks, from building relationships with the locals to ensuring everyone gets fed. As you roll dice and allocate the results, you'll secretly bid on discovering new species of plants, animals, and native tribes. The player who collects the most impressive sets of discoveries will win the game, earning the highest prestige and a place in history. With its unique blend of auction, dice rolling, and worker placement mechanics, Papua offers a thrilling experience for 2 to 4 players, lasting around 75 minutes.
