Description

In Empires of Zidal, you'll lead your people to greatness by guiding them in various fields, from the art of war to the world of commerce, magic, labor, or entertainment. This deck building game, designed by Lee Kress and published in 2013, offers a unique blend of strategy and fun for 2 to 4 players. With a playtime of 60 to 120 minutes, you'll have ample time to build and manage your empire, making key decisions about how to train your workers and construct buildings to give them an edge. The game's normal complexity makes it accessible to those familiar with board games, and its engaging mechanics will keep you coming back for more. As the ruler of one of Zidal's empires, you'll build a deck consisting of people from within your own empire, each with their own strengths and abilities. You can focus on building a military empire, complete with generals, knights, and archers, or take a more commercial approach by training merchants, negotiators, and analysts. Alternatively, you can explore the worlds of magic, labor, or entertainment, or combine multiple fields to create a diverse and powerful empire. With five different employment branches to choose from, each with its own unique effects and strategies, you'll need to balance your resources and make tactical decisions to emerge victorious and claim the most signets.
