Description

In the frozen landscape of Antarctica, players take on the role of research consortia, racing to develop research centers and mine resources to aid in scientific progress. As the sun orbits the continent, it brings new opportunities for growth and discovery, thawing ships and allowing players to erect buildings, recruit scientists, and conduct research. With each passing turn, the goal is to gain a majority in various areas, ultimately earning victory points and securing a place as the leader in Antarctic research. With 2 to 4 players competing over 45 to 90 minutes, Antarctica offers a thrilling challenge of strategy and area control. Designed by Charles Chevallier and published in 2015, this game of normal complexity is easy to learn for experienced board game enthusiasts, making it a great addition to any game night. Will you be the one to make the greatest contribution to rescuing mankind, or will your opponents outmaneuver you in the icy landscape of Antarctica?
