Shimiagaran is a competitive board game where 2 to 5 players take on the role of ancient scientists, racing to gather ingredients and concoct powerful potions. The game is easy to learn, but don't let that fool you - with a mix of card drafting, push your luck, and set collection mechanics, there's plenty of depth to explore. Players start by drawing ingredients from two separate sacks, the White Sack and the Black Sack, which contain different numbers of tarantulas that can either help or hinder their progress. As they collect ingredients, they'll need to manage their resources carefully, using three containers to store their cubes and tarantulas. As players take turns, they can choose to take cubes from one of the sacks or use their ingredients to make potions and elixirs, earning victory points in the process. The game is designed to be fast-paced, with playtime ranging from 30 to 60 minutes, and the rules are simple to pick up, making it accessible to players of all skill levels.
