Description

In Fabula, a fantasy storytelling game for 3 to 8 players, you'll embark on a thrilling adventure where everyone gets to be the hero. The game is simple to learn, with rules that can be explained quickly, making it accessible to players of all ages and experience levels. One player takes on the role of the teller, starting a short tale that the other players will try to become a part of by incorporating their character and an item from a card into the story. The teller asks for input from the other players three times during the game, and they must use their imagination and creativity to convince the teller that their character should be the main focus of the story. As players try to outdo each other, they earn quill markers for their convincing storytelling, and the two players with the most markers at the end of the three turns get to compete in the epilogue. With a sand timer adding an extra layer of excitement, the finalists must come up with a proposal to include their character and two remaining items into the story's ending. The teller decides the winner based on the relevance of their proposal, making every game a unique and engaging experience. With two variants available, including one for experienced players and a collective version where everyone takes part in the epilogue, Fabula offers something for everyone, making it a great addition to any game night.
