Description

In Conflict, you'll engage in a thrilling battle of strategy and luck with 2 to 4 players, all vying for dominance on a symmetrical game board. With a playtime of just 30 minutes, this game is perfect for a quick session of competitive fun. The rules are simple and easy to explain, making it accessible to new players, despite being first published back in 1940. The goal is straightforward: invade an opponent's home space or capture all of their units to emerge victorious. As you start the game, you'll be in control of a set of military miniatures, including airplanes, artillery, battleships, and anti-aircraft guns, each with its unique movement capabilities. You'll roll two dice to determine how many spaces you can move your pieces, and you can use your units to outmaneuver your opponents and capture their pieces by landing on them. The movement of your units is restricted to certain areas of the board, such as water for battleships or land for artillery, adding a layer of strategy to your decisions. Rolling doubles gives you an extra turn, while rolling a seven allows you to bring in reinforcements from your reserve, giving you a chance to turn the tide of battle in your favor. The game is full of twists and turns, with alliances forming and breaking as players navigate the board and try to outmaneuver each other. With its blend of luck, strategy, and tactical decision-making, Conflict is a game that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Will you focus on capturing your opponents' units or try to invade their home space? The choice is yours, and the outcome is never certain. With its short playtime and simple rules, Conflict is a great option for gamers of all experience levels, and its classic gameplay has stood the test of time since its release in 1940.
