Description
Dinosaur Gauge is a game where players invest in different dino industries, aiming to maximize their holdings' value. As the Western Interior Seaway shrinks, dino rail barons expand, bringing goods to emerging cities. With hexagonal tiles serving as a timer, players take turns placing tiles, buying stock, and performing actions like building railroads or establishing airports. Each industry works differently, and with limited turns, players must invest carefully, possibly incentivizing others to do the hard work. In this 60 to 90 minute game for 3 to 5 players, designed by Amabel Holland and Mary Holland, you'll manage chaos and emergent alliances to end up with the most money and win. With normal complexity rules, familiar board game players will have no issue learning this game, published in 2022. It's a fun game that combines investment, network building, and pick-up and deliver mechanics, all set in a prehistoric world with trains.
