Description

Number Please is a classic board game that's all about guessing and strategy. First released in 1961, this game is designed for two players and can be learned in no time, thanks to its simple rules. The goal is to guess a secret word or phrase that your opponent has come up with, and you've got 30 minutes to do it. The twist is that your opponent has written down the word or phrase on a 24-square rack, covering each square with a shutter valued from $0 to $1,000. As you take turns calling out numbers to reveal the letters on your opponent's rack, you'll need to think carefully about your strategy. Each number you call will cost you the value on the corresponding shutter, so you'll want to make sure you're making educated guesses. If you guess a phrase correctly, you'll earn $1,000, but if you're wrong, you'll be out $1,000. The game continues until five phrases have been guessed or one player runs out of money, at which point the player with the most cash wins. With its unique blend of pattern recognition, secret unit deployment, and word-guessing fun, Number Please is a game that will keep you on your toes and leave you wanting more.
