Description
In Atelier, 2 to 5 players take on the role of painters, competing to create the most stunning works of art. With easy-to-learn rules, this 30-40 minute game is perfect for a quick yet engaging gaming session. On each turn, players must decide whether to draw new cards or play ones from their hand, using a combination of hand management, card drafting, and set collection to build their masterpiece. The cards they play serve a dual purpose - they form the player's personal palette and score points as completed works of art at the end of the game. As players work to complete their paintings, they must follow a specific order, starting with a white canvas, then adding a drawing, and finally finishing with a painting card. The first player to complete a work becomes the original painter, while subsequent players who complete the same work are considered counterfeiters. The game ends when a certain number of paintings are finished, and players earn points for their completed works while losing points for unfinished canvases. With additional goals to achieve during the game, players can earn extra points and increase their chances of being elected the most renowned artist. Designed by Davide Ghelfi and Alessandro Cuneo, Atelier is a fun and creative game that challenges players to think strategically and showcase their artistic skills.
