Description

Vol de nuit is a cooperative board game where 2 to 5 players take on the roles of airmail pilots, tasked with delivering mail from Patagonia while navigating the dangers of night flight. Inspired by the works of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, this game is a tribute to his masterpiece and was created in partnership with the Fondation Saint-Exupéry. As a team, players must work together to move their plane through the night, avoiding storms, wind, fog, and other disturbances that can throw them off course. With easy-to-learn rules, Vol de nuit is a game that's all about communication, cooperation, and strategy. Players must prepare a detailed flight plan, taking into account the quality of their communications and the hope gauge that decreases as they encounter disturbances. Each turn consists of three phases: drawing, planning, and piloting, where players move their plane token and try to reach the safety of dawn. With over 150 cards and six double-sided terrain boards, every game is unique and offers a new challenge. If players can work together to reach a dawn hex, they win, delivering the mail and living to see another day. But if they run out of hope or fuel, the game is lost, and the plane crashes into the darkness. Published in 2021, Vol de nuit is a thrilling adventure game that's perfect for fans of abstract strategy, adventure, and aviation.
