Description

In the world of Thingstead, two players are vying for the top spot as chieftain of their Viking village, and the battle for power has begun. With the game designed by Scott Almes and released in 2024, players will need to balance their time between the clans and the Thingstead, where the elders are gathered, to ensure the votes go in their favor. The rules are easy to learn, making it simple to dive into the game and start playing. With a playtime of 30 to 45 minutes, players will need to manage their hand of cards wisely, using them to influence the elders and gain followers and special powers from the clans. As players take turns completing one action at a time, they'll need to think strategically about which cards to play and when. The game continues until one player has locked in three elders or the draw deck is empty and both players are out of cards. The player with the most points, gained from influencing elders and controlling clans, will be declared the winner. With its unique blend of area majority, hand management, and multi-use cards, Thingstead offers a fun and challenging experience for players.
