In Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell: A Board Game of English Magic, magic has returned to England and players take on the role of aspiring magicians, competing to become the most celebrated of their time. They travel through England and Europe, attending social engagements and performing feats of magic, all while building up their magical abilities. With a playtime of 60 to 80 minutes, 2 to 4 players can join in on the fun, navigating the complexities of magic and social status. As they journey through the game, players will encounter familiar characters from the novel, and must balance their studies and status to outdo their opponents. With hidden victory points and variable player powers, the game is full of surprises, and players will need all their strength to stop the gentleman with the thistle-down hair and claim victory.
