Description
In Roll for Great Old Ones, 1 to 4 investigators team up to take on ancient evil powers in a cooperative roll and write game set in the Lovecraft universe. Players work together, drafting dice from a shared pool to program actions on their investigator boards, while leaving behind cultist dice that can trigger unexpected events. This unique mechanic requires negotiation and strategy among players, as they decide which dice to use and which to leave behind, all while trying to anticipate the consequences of their choices. As a team, players must collect clues, earn experience, and master powerful skills to defeat the evil cultists before they can complete their dark ritual. With asymmetric powers and the ability to help each other, players must collaborate to save the world from doom. The fate of mankind hangs in the balance, and players will either emerge victorious together or suffer defeat as a team.
