Description
In the not-so-distant future, the world is dominated by four mega-corporations that control every aspect of life. The tech-future that was supposed to bring about a utopia has instead created a dystopian society where information is the ultimate currency. In Dark.net, 2 to 4 players take on the role of hackers, intercepting transmissions and gathering valuable data to boost their reputation. With a playtime of 45 to 60 minutes, this game is perfect for a fun and engaging evening with friends. The rules of Dark.net are easy to learn, making it accessible to new players, but the game's depth and complexity come from its modular board and random production mechanics. Players use dice rolling and tile placement to navigate the dark net, buying and selling information through fences to gain an advantage. As they accrue credits, extend their network, hire informants, and install network boosters, they'll make contacts and build their reputation. The player with the most reputation at the end of the game is declared the winner. Designed by Richard Yaner and published in 2018, Dark.net is a thrilling science fiction game that's all about outmaneuvering your opponents and coming out on top in a world of high-stakes hacking and corporate espionage.
