Description

Captain's Log is a sandbox board game where you take charge of a ship from the colonial period, competing to become the most famous captain of all. You'll start by selecting your ship, choosing from a swift but fragile vessel, a well-balanced one, or a heavy and slow but strong one. As you navigate the game, you can transform your ship into a formidable man-o-war or a speedy sailboat, and engage in activities like trading, growing your crew, and exploring the ocean for treasures. As you explore the map, you'll encounter ships from different nations, including Spain, Holland, France, England, and pirates and corsairs. You can choose to side with these nations, earning perks and rewards, but beware - your actions may also make enemies, leading to intense battles and pursuits. With its complex rules and variable setup, Captain's Log offers a unique and thrilling experience for 1 to 4 players, with playtime ranging from 60 to 240 minutes.
