In the mystical village of Blackwood, a legendary hub for witches, the air is electric with excitement and competition. The Blackwood Sorcery Council is on the hunt for a new member, and the most reputable witch in the region will take the coveted spot. As an aspiring witch, you'll need to showcase your potion-making prowess to impress the council. With the help of your trusty magical wooden puppets, known as Marionnettes, and the local village magician's spells, you'll concoct potions that will dazzle the council members. But beware, your fellow witches won't hesitate to sabotage your efforts by snatching the essential ingredients you need. A game of Blackwood is a thrilling 45 to 60 minute adventure, playable with 2 to 4 friends, that unfolds over three expeditions, each comprising five rounds of play. As you explore the mysterious forest, pose your Marionnettes, and return to the village, you'll navigate a web of strategic decisions, including preparing potions, exchanging them for spells, casting spells, and selling your creations.
