Description

Paleontologists is a fun and interactive game where you get to be a paleontologist trying to dig up the best fossils to earn the most points. The game is easy to learn and can be played with a huge group of people, from 1 to 100 players, making it a great option for parties or large gatherings. With a playtime of just 15 to 20 minutes, you can quickly get in a game and have a blast. Designed by Joe Hout and published in 2020, Paleontologists uses simple game mechanics like dice rolling and paper-and-pencil to create an exciting experience. In the game, you'll roll two dice and use the numbers to choose a shape and a dig type, which you'll then use to draw on your dig site. As you surround fossils with your shapes, you'll earn points and maybe even get some bonus points for using the same dig type. With the ability to mirror, turn, and flip your shapes, you'll need to think strategically to maximize your points. You can also gain bonuses by placing shapes over bonus stars, which can give you extra points or special abilities. After 20 rounds, the player with the most points wins, so get ready to dig in and have some fun with Paleontologists.
