Viking Raiders is a thrilling card game where 2 to 5 players take on the role of Viking chiefs, competing to build the most impressive Navy, create the largest Clan, and amass the most Loot. With easy-to-learn rules, this 2022 game designed by Morten Billcliff is perfect for casual gamers and families with children aged 9 and above. On each turn, players draw two cards to discover what their clan has been up to, which could include gathering resources, creating new Vikings, or preparing for a raid. They can then use one action, such as going on a raid or using a favor from a Norse god or goddess, and buy one item from the central Market using resources in their hand. The game is full of exciting possibilities, with players able to choose from ships, buildings, and valuables to boost their Navy, Clan, and Loot. Each item comes with Victory Points, and the first player to reach an agreed number of points in each category wins. But beware - rare Abilities and the looming threat of Ragnarok can shake things up. With playtime lasting between 30 to 60 minutes, Viking Raiders is a compact and travel-friendly game that's ideal for a fun family game night or a casual gaming session with friends.
